But it’s not an awful game, it’s just not a good Devil May Cry game. Sometimes the combat feels dry, and it just hurts to look at. The environment is dull and the enemies can get way too repetitive - and that’s saying something for a franchise like Devil May Cry. The game overall doesn’t have bad mechanics nor does it have uninteresting boss fights, but it is a pain to play through. Even compared to DMC 1 Dante who wasn’t exactly our wacky woohoo pizza man, going on a journey with DMC 2 Dante is like watching paint dry. The last time I checked, this was Vergil (his brother), and not Dante. He’s a dry, and edgy man with a lot going on inside of his head. Long story short, bad businessman is bad, and Dante being the epic character he is, has to take him down.Įxcept, Dante’s rendition in this game is as lackluster as mayonnaise on a piece of bread. Her mother, Matier, tells Dante of all of the things that Arius is plotting. Now Lucia invites Dante to help her with a task involving an international businessman named Arius. It starts out with our beloved Dante accompanied by a newcomer to the franchise, Lucia. This will be the format for the review of every subsequent game after this one. Before we get into why exactly it’s considered a bad game, let’s first talk about the plot and character to get a feel of how the game is going to be.

One last note from Capcom is that they suggest players use a controller/gamepad for an optimal playing experience.Devil May Cry 2 is arguably the worst Devil May Cry game, and for good reason. On top of being free-to-play, Warframe has significantly lower system requirements while still being a visually impressive game.

#DEVIL MAY CRY GAME PC#
If PC gamers have a hard time passing the requirements for DMC5, they could check out Warframe, a free-to-play action shooter with a healthy dose of melee weapon-oriented combat. Whether you’re slicing and dicing with your newest blade, or you’re getting ready to pull the trigger on the newest demon, pushing this game to its max is sure to present some beautiful eye candy to action game enthusiasts. In addition to the aforementioned recommended CPU requirement, in order to max out the settings in Devil May Cry 5, PC gamers will also need a GeForce GTX 960 (or the AMD equivalent which is close to a Radeon R9 280). The i7-4770 is on the higher end of CPUs and will definitely be a concern for gamers trying to get their PCs over the minimum requirements. Currently, Capcom is listing the Core i7-4770 as both the minimum and recommended CPU model. They named the GeForce GTX 760 as the minimum GPU needed to play Devil May Cry 5, and the approximate AMD equivalent of that is close to a Radeon HD 7870 or Radeon R9 270. Unfortunately for AMD users and enthusiasts, Capcom has only listed Nvidia and Intel requirements (for the time being). DMC5’s release date is fast approaching (March 8, 2019) so there’s no better time to prepare your PC for one of the most anticipated action games. The minimum system requirements for DMC5 are even above the recommended requirements for DMC4: Special Edition which came out in the middle of 2015. With the promise of 60 FPS across all systems and a photo-realistic graphics style, the vast increase in hardware requirements should come as no surprise. This game represents one of the largest jumps in system requirements for sequential games in a franchise in recent years. Despite the lack of financial success from Devil May Cry 4, Capcom and Hideaki Itsuno believe that this entry into the franchise will win back the hearts of many of their disgruntled fans. Follow the newest chapter in Dante’s story set several years after the events that transpired in Devil May Cry 2. From sword-swinging and gun-wielding to motorcycle-mashing and Faust hat-throwing, the heavily stylized action of Devil May Cry 5 looks to be nothing less than spectacular.
